Athena Locana. Not exactly a village you come to when traveling in southern Italy, but when we heard about Inbar's workshop, we decided we had to do it and indeed our visit to Inbar was a successful experience that will not be forgotten.
As soon as we entered Inbars, we felt at home. Inbar and her lovely family welcomed us with a hug, a smile, and good coffee and immediately made us feel part of the guys. We received aprons and began the preparations, with in-depth explanations from Inbar, whose extensive knowledge is evident. We received many important tips and an understanding of how to achieve our favorite flavors and textures. The conversation was lively and fascinating and time flies when you're having fun.
When we were done and everything was on the dining table, we couldn't believe we had made all this goodness. We sat down to lunch with Inbar's family and a bottle of good wine that the neighbor prepares himself and savored every bite.
It's not just the wonderful food of southern Italy, it's also the warm welcoming into the home and family and getting a broader idea of life in the countryside in Italy along with accurate knowledge of cooking processes, different ingredients, making pasta from scratch, olive oils, and everything from farm to table.
Beyond a full and happy stomach, we received a neat summary of everything we prepared including videos of the exact preparation methods and she even equipped us with a list of what we should buy to take home.
We highly recommend the whole experience, for those who want to learn to cook good food that can be prepared at home, but also get to know the Italian way of life in the village.

חזרנו מטיול של 12 יום בדרום איטליה.
התחלנו בנאפולי דרך עיירות החוף המוכרות: סורנטו, פוזיטנו ואמלפי. המשכנו לחבל בזיליקטה וחבל פוליה. היה מקסים וטעים, אבל שום דבר מאלו לא ניתן להשוות לאקורד הסיום בחבל קמפניה עם ענבר. שם באמת חוויתי את איטליה ה"אמיתית" הביתית. הרגשתי את ההוויה של החיים בעיירה קטנה רחוקה מהמולת העיר.
גילוי נאות, ענבר ואני עוסקות באותו תחום (סדנאות בישול) ותמיד הערכתי את הכישרון שלה, הידע המקצועי והערך המוסף שיש לה מהיותה נשואה לאיטלקי וחיה את חיי היומיום באיטליה. בעלי ידע זאת וכשהגענו לקמפניה, הפתיע אותי.
יצאנו לסיור עם ענבר בסופר, בו הסבירה לנו על חומרי הגלם המקומיים, ההבדלים בין סוגי הפסטות והקמחים ותובנות נוספות שלא הכרתי. משם המשכנו למעדניה, בה כיבדו אותנו בנדיבות לב עם הרבה סבלנות. בסופו של הביקור, רכשנו ממוצרי החנות במחירים מצחיקים ביחס לארץ. בסמוך למעדניה ביקרנו במרכז המתמחה בדגי בקלה, שם רכשנו דגים לארוחה שבישלנו מאוחר יותר (דג בקלה עסיסי שלא דומה בשום צורה לפילטים הקפואים המוכרים בארץ). חזרנו לביתה של ענבר, קטפנו פטריות יער בחצר שגם הם שולבו בארוחה שהכנו. אחה"צ ערכנו סיור בבית בד,ביקרנו בבר טיפוסי בו קיבלנו הסברים על תרבות שתיית הקפה וסיימנו בפיצריה מקומית, היה מושלם!
תודה רבה ענבר, על חוויה מיוחדת ושונה מכל מה שהכרתי, היה טעים, מעניין ומיוחד.
