The rooms are nice owner decorated. The staff did fine job. It was a busy weekend resort seemed full. Lines at the bar by the pool were quick. Lots of rules to learn towels for the pool should have been issued upon check in and/or available at the pool. As to go back to the front dest and have to wait in line just to get a towel seemed to be a better system out there. Play room was great clean well kept up great design. Unique place a lot of sexy fun!!

My husband and I were just there 7/27-8/1. Oh my where do I start? How about the room. We stayed in 168, cute room but lacked some amenities that we are use to having. The little things mean a lot. The room was never cleaned the entire time we were there. I had to go down to the front desk twice to get our sheets changed and this was after we had been there a few days. My husband had to ask for towels twice also.
The pool area: It was nice with two pools, we only used the smaller pool one day. The bugs were bad in the pool, we were told that they clean every morning at 8 am I was constantly pushing bugs away from me. Also didn't like the fact that there's a person at the entrance that you have to let check your bag. That's because you have buy drinks.
The night club: we didn't go because that's another charge. I believe if you're staying at the location then why can't we access the club without paying a charge? Then as we arrived at the office to check in there's more charges. You have a membership fee plus whatever you're paying for your room. So for example you pay a couples fee for 1 month $35 then additional fees every night. $50 for Saturday night, then it was additional $65 for all the other nights we stayed there. I wish we would have known about all this. We could have gone somewhere else. So now I know to read reviews and talk to others that have been there beforehand. I hope this review helps someone else in their decision to visit or not.

The rooms are individually owned so all maintenance of the rooms are mostly on the people who own them. There is a variety of different rooms, all of which have different themes. Some rooms are modern and look like any other hotel rooms while others have several different features, some including spa/shower combinations, swings, poles, ect. The website allows you to browse the rooms and look through pictures to let you decide which rooms you want. All in all, the place is friendly and well worth a visit!

We are originals for secrets when the side door was the main door, and you received a card with lips on it that said secrets. I am truly disappointed we have continued to try and stay loyal, but at this point it is completely different. The original rules no longer apply and if your a true and original customer that no longer matters. This place used to be fun and free. Now the restrictions and prices have become far too much. It's really not worth it anymore. You will spend minimum weekday $500 and weekend $ 800 . You will still feel like a random. It's sad and I see why many don't want to return.

We decided to give Secrets Hideaway resort a try. I am one that believes in giving fair reviews for what is deserved. We booked five nights. Dates were July 27th - Aug 1st 2024. Lets just say that I do not think it's the owners of the room but the way the resort takes care of the rooms. I would think with all the fees that you pay that your room would get cleaned daily. Well that does not happen. They do not pick up the towels. We did not get towels for two days. They just opened the door and dropped them off on the table. So, what I had to do was put all the dirty towns and trash right outside my door. I saw several cleaning staff members walk by it. We will see how long it stays. No cleaning of the bathroom, floors, sheets. None of that happens. We had stopped by the desk twice to ask for the room to be cleaned. No need to explain how they cleaned it. The pool area. They do search your bag. Do not have a problem with that but you can not even bring a bottle of water into the pool area. What I don't understand is they say you can't bring drinks in but you see patrons mixing their own drinks and have insulated cups. So, they are not monitoring it well. I guess they want you to buy everything at the bar. Also had to pay $165 dollar membership on top of the $1200 I paid for the room. It's all about money here, money there. The cleaning staff basically sucks. They need to hire a cleaning team based on what this resort is used for. It says drugs are prohibited but you can smell marijunna all over the place. If you are here on the weekend you might as well forget about parking. You will be parking in a muddy field even though you are paying all this money to stay in the room. The room is missing a few adminities. Need a iron and ironing board, and a trash can in the bathroom would be nice. Nice lights in the room but need instructions on how to operate everything in room 168. All of the floor rugs are dirty but that's probably from the cleaning crew not doing their job. Also, You do not ever see anyone cleaning the pool. You would think the pool would be cleaned at night. No need for me to say what is going on in the pool..On the positive side you do meet some nice people. I have to say that we did not have any problems with any of the patrons here. I think this offset the disappointment of the hotel itself. Needless to say we will not be back.

I don't usually write a lot of reviews and if I do they're rarely negative. But I wanted to possibly save others that may have the same sensibilities as my husband and I some time and $. This was our 3rd trip to Secrets and we LOVED it the first two times- great crowds, great entertainment, staff was friendly and helpful. The first time we stayed offsite and the second time we booked a room- we enjoyed both options.|This time around we booked a room onsite- and it was less than optimal. My husband and I are not picky people- we only require the basics. That the room is clean, bug free, AC works and the water is warm. In this room the AC did work and the water was warm but we saw bugs the second we set foot in the door. The floor was sticky/dirty and there was peeling paint in the tub and just a general feeling of disrepair.|Even more disappointing was that the general vibe of the place has shifted somehow- the people seem less friendly/more cliquish and overall trashier? There were few attempts by the entertainers to get guests to actually engage in games etc.. by the pool and when there were, there were no volunteers so the game/contest was abandoned which is not how how this place functioned previously. We are not snobby and are generally cool with a mix of types but this just felt different. The prior Party guy that had been the host the other two times we were there was not in attendance this weekend so maybe that factored in.|And by far the worst part of the experience: the VOLUME of the music- loud EDM with thumping bass was blasting from 11 AM until 3-4 AM . When we stayed onsite the first time we were able to sleep and get away from the noise if we turned in early- this time it was IMPOSSIBLE to tune it out. Even with earplugs and a white noise machine- there was no way to escape it. And we were in an exterior room so it wasn't like we were poolside.|I have read a few other recent reviews that have reflected these same observations so something has changed- and we're hoping it's temporary and it will return to what it was before. We will probably give it one more go in the future but will not stay onsite until we can ascertain if changes were made to correct the current slide.

Central Florida … what can you say? Water on premises and rooms smells horrid. No public bathrooms located within the serving area, they trap you by not allowing your drinks to be secured as you go to the bathrooms. So on the way back they make you dump the drink they served you. The law is you cannot leave premises with drinks, we were on premises, it was their alcohol they served. A cabana is 500.00 which we were fine with and two bottles, no worries we knew price up front. But they then at the end tried to put two more bottles at 400.00 ! No one ordered! I sent them back, they gave me and my wife a hard time as they tried to push it on our tab, funny thing is, I don’t drink. I think the owner needs new management and proper security as many other things I’ve witnessed there would be deemed unacceptable and quite frankly, illegal! It’s time for a serious staff of bartenders that care about the clients and patrons and a real security team that is in fact security not what I saw as a member of military and law enforcement societies, I’d expect professionalism, what we saw wasn’t even Walmart worthy. You’d have a great place, with some changes in staff and In security, it’s going down hill and it’s a shame. Other than your DJ Jordon the rest of the staff isn’t worthy of a job at McDonald’s!
