L'ostello affaccia sul castello Ursino, quindi a 2 passi dal centro città. Intorno ci sono tanti negozi e posti dove mangiare.
Il personale molto gentile e le aree comuni erano ben tenute. La camera matrimoniale con bagno in camera era grande e ben arredata. Inoltre, ho parcheggiato nella stradina dell'ostello.
La pulizia della camera dovrebbe essere un po' approfondita. La camera affacciava sulla strada, quindi sono arrivati un po' di rumori tutta la notte.

Mi presento mi chiamo Angelo e vengo da Menfi dalla provincia di Agrigento. Per venire qua per me ci sono quasi tre ore. Non credo mai alle recensioni se prima non lo vedo con i miei occhi. La posizione del b&b è ottima davanti al castello. Persone super gentilissimo. E prezzo abbastanza ottimo. E considerando che c'è la festa di Sant'Agata. Io ho prenotato per due giorni. Ritorno al mio paese domenica notte. Il personale mi ha spiegato le regole del b&b e siccome avevo parlato in an al telefono mi sono portato un lucchetto per il mio armadietto. Abbastanza comodo. Così grazie a loro ho già risparmiato per avere un lucchetto da loro. Alla fine uno ci lascia solo un cambio e le cose che servono per farsi il bagno. Mi è stato detto quale è il mio lettino e cisi subito lo già preparato per non dare fastidio alle altre persone se io torno di sera. Perché organizzando bene riesco a vedere il carnevale di acireale e in serata la festa a Catania di sant'agata. E il b&b è situato al centro. E quindi a due passi. Mi sono già trovato bene e vi giuro che ci verrò altre volte. Ho trovato le lunzule pulite e un piumone se dovessi sentire freddo. Ci sono più bagni a disposizione quindi io mi trovo bene. Ci sono gli orari per la cucina se qualcuno a di bisogno. Ma per me non serve. A me quello che conta è un letto dove dormire alcune ore. Io vengo per divertirmi e stare sempre in giro. Quindi da parte mia sto lasciando una bella recensione. Perché è la verità. Un consiglio che di alle altre persone che pultroppo anno lasciato la loro recensione di valutare tutto. Perché in base al prezzo che cosa pretendi. Io mi ritengo fortunato di aver trovato questo b&b a disposizione. E fino ad ora ho sempre trovato persone oneste. Quando lascerò la mia camera è il lettino lascerò sempre il letto in ordine. Non mi è mai piaciuto lasciare disordine. Perché per come ho trovato il mio lettino farò altrettanto io.

Non ricordo il suo nome l'ho vista per poco al check in ma La ragazza alla reception é stata gentilissima mi ha atteso oltre l'orario previsto e nonostante il ritardo mi ha comunque dato le info necessarie. Ottimo

Posto sporchissimo bagno pieno di formiche acqua delle doccieche arrivava nel corridoio lampario sopra il letto pieno di polvere sembrava un carcere tutto troppo negativo

There were bed bugs. I stayed there in September, in a small 2 bed-room on the higher floor. They didn't care much about the bedbug infestation and from what I see in these reviews, it's been going on for a long time. The bugs bit me over 40 times during the first night. They didn't offer compensation for Laundry or offer dry cleaning or anything really. We were given our money back, and we had to fight them for it a bit. I spent a lot of money cleaning all the clothes and items to avoid bringing them home, and 5 months after I'm still scared with some non-washables inside bags. I had to use corticoids and antibiotics and some bites lasted over 2 months. It was painful, and horribly itchy. Ruined my vacation and more weeks after where I was cleaning everything and still in pain.

I was afraid to post this until now because they also scanned my debit card and driver's license since we also rented a car with them. I already cancelled the card, since it's illegal and risky.

I believe this place should be reported to the sanitary authorities and closed down because it's a risk to keep infecting traveler's items, it can spread very quickly and go from Hostel to hostel. They had no control over the situation, no protocols against bed bugs, no way to sanitize the traveler's suitcases and backpacks. Very dangerous in so many ways.

Btw no contract or anything about the car rental, it was 40€ without insurance and 60€ with basic insurance against other cars (a scam too i presume). The car was real tho but it seemed like it was the owner's private car. There was nothing but a verbal contract over this.

One of the receptionists (i don't remember his name) was very nice to me while i was scared crying and a bed bug was running on my leg. He bought me a nestea and was genuinely sorry. He found us a great place to stay and helped us put everything in bags and killed the bed bugs that we saw.

The owner was horrible, he didn't speak any English and didn't want to give our money back. It seemed like the manager wanted to help more but they both didn't care at all.

This is just the beginning tho, ofc the room was unclean, unswept, floors dirty, they denied us the use of a vacuum cleaner after we found the bed bugs too (we were very reasonable, asked to clean up ourselves when it was only a bug, asked for a new room after we saw another bug, they had none available, we kept seeing bugs so then we asked to go somewhere else, we were lucky the receptionist found us another place). This place wasn't even cheap, it was pretty pricey. The bathrooms were dirty too, i felt very icky about it all, everything smelled bad, very humid, there were several mattresses around the corridors and in the sun (obviously they don't realize that won't kill the bed bugs). The kitchen and fridge were dirty too, the beds were uncomfortable... i just wouldn't recommend this place at all. Not to my worst enemy.

Please don't come here.

Do not go there. They have frequently bed bugs in their hostel

When we went there, they did not take proper measure to eliminate the bed bugs.
I found the insects in my bed and on the walls. They only applied the product in one corner of the bedroom.

There are not enough lockers in order to keep your luggage safe.

The only solution they offer you is to refund you and make you leave … but they do not solve the bed bug problem.

The bathrooms and bedrooms are dirty.

PLEASE, for your own safety, do not go there! Avoid this place!

If you stay here you'll come out riddle with bed bugs! If this is not enough and you want to brave this place, then mind you there's this constantly mardy cleaning lady to deal with. She will snap at you for the slights things. I dub her the Cantankerous Woman of Catania. If she's not having a go at you, then it'll be someone else in the hostel or someone on the phone. Furthermore, the kitchen seems to be closed half of the time. It opens at 8am and closes at 10am then re-opens briefly for lunch before it closes again. Catania is a beautiful city and this place has the potential to spoil your stay.
